Democratic autonomy has declared in Afrin canton in Rojava
In Western Kurdistan Rojava, Efrin Canton also declared democratic autonomous administration following the declarations of autonomy by Cizire and Kabone Cantons administrations.
The Legislative Parliament of Afrin Canton met this morning with the presidency of Hevin Resid. Following the vote of confidence, Efrin Canton's Democratic Autonomous Administration's Executive Council began its first legislative session with its 1 president, 2 vice president and 22 ministers. Hevi İbrahim Mustefa was elected as Executive Council's first woman president and Remzi Şexmus and Ebdil Hemid Mistefa were elected as vice presidents.
First democratic autonomous administration in Western Kurdistan was declared at 21st January at Cizire and followed by the declaration of autonomy of Kobane Canton at 27th January. Cizire and Kobane cantons administrative bodies also consist of 1 president and 22 ministers.
Parliamentary elections in Cizire, Kobane and Efrin Canton will be held within 4 months.
Following the declaration of democratic autonomy in Cizire, Kobane and Afrin cantons people celebrated the declarations in the streets of Western and Northern Kurdistan.
