Turkish Peace Assembly: What to do now for peace?
The Peace Assembly meeting's final resolution wich took place on 10'th May has been released at a press conference today in Istanbul.
In this final resolution, the following points were made:
""We demand that the upholding of peace is treated on a social basis beyond political choices. We consider this treatment as vital in the current context.
Furthermore we stress that the peace/resolution process for the solution of the Kurdish problem is irrevocable".
We'd also like to remind the necessity of taking urgent steps for the healthy continuation of the peace process and we'd like to stress that the peace process shouldn't be treated as a security issue.
On the other hand we demand that the peace talks held in Imrali should urgently be provided a legal framework and carried to a negotiation level. As we believe that the process must be rendered transparently".
