Erdogan continues to threaten HDP
While Ocalan promotes peace and tries to keep the hope live, Turkish prime minister Erdogan continues his denialist and tension increasing discourse.
Erdogan continues to threaten BDP and HDP on the so-called "abducted children" on one hand and denies political talks with Abdullah Ocalan on the other hand.
"I am calling out to the BDP deputies. You have to return those children to their families. Otherwise, we will use our backup plans. HDP deputies have to take the initiative and solve this matter, or we will solve this matter in a different way," the Turkish prime minister said on Tuesday speaking at a weekly meeting of his parliamentary group.
Erdoğan repeated that the government had a Plan B and Plan C on the issue.
Meanwhile, Erdogan rejected the claim that the government officials maintained direct political talks with the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
"At this point, only members of the Peoples' Democratic Party and our intelligence agency have been visiting the island Erdogan told at a joint press conference in Ankara with Kyrgyzstan's president.
Erdogan again threatened the HDP and said, "If they continue to approach the issue with this mentality, they will close their own doors," stressing that the HDP delegations that regulary visit Ocalan do this with the government's approval.
In the meantime, Government's spokesperson Bulent Arinc said on Tuesday after the cabinet meeting that they had no legal preparations concerning the peace process.
