KCK: Everyone must mobilise for Kobane
The Kurdish Communities Union Executive Council Co-Presidency has called on all forces in the 4 parts of Kurdistan to support the general mobilisation declared by the Kobane Canton administration in Rojava.
Calling for utmost attention to the developments in Rojava, KCK said: “We call on primarily the patriotic youth in North Kurdistan, the revolutionary youth in South and East Kurdistan and Rojava and all our people to strongly respond to the call for general mobilisation made by the Kobane Canton and to mobilise en masse.”
KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency has issued a statement on the resistance that continues in Kobane against the attacks of ISIS since 2 July.
KCK stated that "the attacks of ISIS on Mosul and its attempt to destroy the Rojava revolution by imposing a siege on Kobane are being strategically carried out in the line of dirty and dangerous plans," adding that the counter-revolutionary attacks will possibly increase against Rojava as the anniversary of the revolution, 19 July, approaches.
Recalling that the YPG and the YPJ forces have resisted strongly against the attacks of ISIS and the powers backing it up until now, KCK said it is certain that the resistance will continue and will protect the revolution and repulse the attacks.
The statement continued as follows:
“In a period in which ISIS has increased its attacks and in which it is of the utmost importance to protect the gains of the Kurds, no organisation, person or segment of society calling themselves Kurds and patriots and claiming to be against the ISIS can remain silent and must take a clear stance. What is required and the only measure of being against ISIS is to take a clear stance against its attacks and to take the side of our people to protect the very existence and freedom of our people. Our people will notice those forces who refrain from doing this and will suspect their Kurdishness and patriotism. Those who take part or become tools of those policies which attempt the elimination of the gains of Kurds and those who mediate or directly support or provide means for ISIS cannot claim to be Kurdish or a true patriot. This is why all the organisations and the groups who claim to be against ISIS, and all our people must support the resistance in Kobane and must mobilise en masse in support of it.
The chicanery in play in the Middle East is on a large scale. The Kurds, none of the Kurdish organisations and groups must take part in this skulduggery.
We are ready to protect the very existence of the Kurds, the gains of the Kurds and our people under any conditions, at any cost and wherever and whenever it proves necessary. This is the correct attitude as well being the patriotic and the revolutionary one. We invite all the Kurds and Kurdish forces to adopt this correct stance.
Our people in Rojava and Kobane are not alone. We greet once again the honourable resistance of the people of Kobane and declare our support for their resistance. We call on primarily the patriotic youth in North Kurdistan, the revolutionary youth in South and East Kurdistan and Rojava and all our people to strongly respond to the call for general mobilisation made by the Kobane Canton and to mobilise en masse.”
