ISIS gangs have taken over Iraq's largest Christian town Qaraqosh today.

100,000 CHRISTIANS ARE DISPLACED 
"I now know that the towns of Qaraqosh, Tal Kayf, Bartella and Karamlesh have been emptied of their original population and are now under the control of the militant after the withdrawal of Kurdish peshmerga troops," Joseph Thomas, the Chaldean archbishop of Kirkuk and Sulaimaniyah, told AFP.
 
Thomas called on the U.N. Security Council to immediately intervene.
 
"There are 100,000 displaced Christians who have fled with nothing but their clothes, some of them on foot, to reach the Kurdistan region," Chaldean Patriarch Louis Sako the leader of Iraq's largest Christian denomination, told AFP.
 
He added that up to 1,500 manuscripts were burnt.
 
Qaraqosh is an entirely Christian town that lies between Mosul, the jihadists' main hub in Iraq, and Hewler, the Kurdish region's capital. It has a population of around 50,000
